The Dogwood Patch Cross Stitch Shop Newsletter for January 2007

We've got lots of exciting things going for 2007. We've got classes through December, Camp Iwannastitch through November, a couple of Night Stitch-Ins planned & I'll probably think of some other things to throw in as we go.

Listed as 1 of the classes is Ornament of the Month. You may purchase the kits without attending the free class instruction if you'd like. I know there are lots of you that are way beyond needing the instruction. Or you may attend the free sessions just to have fun with the group. It's always fun to stitch together. There's also a lot of you that are just starting out with your stitching hobby that need the instruction. Come one, come all! We'll all have fun together. I'm attaching the classes in case they're not up on the website yet.

There are always changes to the weekend retreats we call Camp Iwannastitch. We try to keep them updated on www.DogwoodPatch.com For some, unfortunate circumstances come up & they have to drop out. So that leaves open spots for others to partake in. And some of them just get filled up without any openings coming available. It's always a 1st come-1st serve basis. So if you haven't signed up but are thinking about it you can always check to see if they're full or have openings. If you want to sign up, the sooner the better to secure your spot.

Superbowl Sunday Sale

My 1st sale this year is the Superbowl sale February 4th. Everything in the store will be 25% off. I will be open 8:00-5:00 that Sunday.

The nightly stitch-ins we've added are going to be July 28th & August 25th from 6:00 - midnight. Just bring whatever you want to stitch on or get something new while you're here & start it. Refreshments will be provided. I can only allow 11 ladies to attend as seating is limited in the store. So call or email 800-598-4614/DogwoodPatch@gmail.com to reserve your stitch spot. If you need it there's a Holiday Inn Express right next door. 1-800-Holiday to make reservations. Just tell them Big Sky Drive in Hiawassee, Georgia. The Inn fills up a lot in the summer so if you think you want to book a room, speed is of the essence.

I'd like to talk about Hoffman. Most of you already know what Hoffman is. For those that don't, let me explain it to you. Hoffman Distributing is where the needlework stores get most of the charts. Every Friday evening Hoffman comes out with the new charts of the week. You can see them every Friday night by going to my website www.DogwoodPatch.com . Click on "Shop Online". Click the box that says "Merchant Mall". Then click "What's New-See Our New Arrivals". I look forward to every Friday! You may also order them right there. You may order any of the charts you want. You can peruse the charts by category, designer, or keyword. For instance if you're looking for a baby chart, click on "keyword" & type in "baby". You can see 243 charts. Just click on the picture to enlarge it. Or you may be looking for a chart about an occupation. You can click that & it will give you 15 different things you can click. You can click "Fireman" & it will give you a choice of 24 different charts you can look @. Or you could click "Holidays" within the "Category". Then click "Valentines Day". It'll show you 73 charts including the new Flip-It Bits February by Lizzie Kate that's just so, so cute. It's really a wonderful way to search for that specific chart you need.

Speaking of Valentine's Day & February, the new February Pine Mountain Pillow is just adorable. For those of you signed up for that automatic, you'll be getting yours soon. I thought I flipped over January, I did 2 flips when I saw February. LOL They just keep getting cuter by the month.

Lizzie*Kate is putting out such loveable little monthly charts this year. They're called Flip-It Bits. They have the tiniest most precious little buttons attached to each chart. I just cannot let this newsletter go without mentioning a personal thing that's weighing heavy on my heart. Saturday, January 20th my cousin was sent to Baghdad. He just graduated high school a couple years ago. He's just a little boy. Age really shouldn't make a difference. They're over there in droves fighting in all ages. All of them should be in our prayers. I've been praying for our troops throughout this thing & now all of a sudden my prayers have reached a new urgency. Was I not praying enough before? I just know I can't pray enough now. I know we all have so many things to pray about & our prayer time is bulging @ the seams as it is. But I would appreciate your adding my Josh anywhere in there you can.
