Good News
Greetings & Salutations Stitchers!
I'm so excited with good news! There's a new monthly thread pack coming out with Crescent Colours over dyed flosses & guess who does the charts? COUNTRY COTTAGE NEEDLEWORKS!!!! I don't think she's ever put out a chart I didn't like. This is going to be fantastic! It's going to be called "Flower Cottage Thread Packs". Isn't that sweet? I just love it. The designs are going to be flowers. Here's the names of the 1st 6 to give you a hint: Violet, Peony, Daisy, Rose, Bluebell & Cottage Garden. The 1st one called Violet is due to be mailed out to me July 10th. Then Peony in August, Daisy in September, Rose in October, etc. It's the chart + 5 full skeins of Crescent's overdyded cotton floss. Who wants to get on the list to get these in your mailbox every month? Email me back or call me with a credit card number @ 800-598-4614 & you'll get them as soon as I can get them. Or if you live close enough to the store then just give me your phone number & I'll call you to come pick them up when I get them in.

Praiseworthy Stitches
While we're on the subject of Crescent Colours & her over dyed cotton floss Thread Packs, I just got the newest one out. It's the monthly series with Praiseworthy Stitches providing the charts. It's the 1st one in the series called Birthday Birds. The fabric it suggests is R & R Reproductions 30 count Hog Wild Blue. I'm anxious to get started on that! I'm a sucker for pretty, out-of the-ordinary fabric colors. But y'all stitch on whatever fabric twirls your beanie. I know a lot of you enjoy your aida while others like to stick to a creamy or tan color. That's the beauty of the Thread Packs. It has your chart, your floss, a suggestion of a fabric or 2 but you decide what fabric you're going to put with it.
Crescent Colours - Belle Soie
On with Crescent Colours…she's really cranking them out! I got the 2nd SILK over dyed floss thread pack in the series called Summer Sampler. The chart is provided by Little House Needleworks. A while back I sent you a pic of the 1st in the series called Spring Sampler. Remember the pretty bluebird in it? I have it 1/2 stitched. It's so pretty & the silk floss is just luscious. This Summer one has a basket of rose & lavender colored flowers. I just love the feel of the Belle Soie silks.
Speaking of Belle Soie Silks by Crescent Colours (does she sleep @ night?)…..she's come out with more colors of her over dyed silks. Of course I bought them right away! So they're here for your viewing/buying pleasure. And she has come out with some new over dyed cotton colors for us too. Just gotta tell you the names: brown sugar, english ivy, red currant, muddy puddle, & steamed broccoli. That's gotta be the most fun part of having a floss company--coming up with the names. I love the names as much as I love the floss itself. Well, almost. So come & get em!

Scripture Thread Packs
And the most recent monthly Scripture Thread Pack I got in the mail is called Hope. It has some really pretty purple flowers in it. If you'd like to get in on a monthly automatic list & have something mailed to you every month let me hear it, email me back or call me 1-800-598-4614.
Lizzie Kate
I got 3 new Lizzie Kate Flip It Bits in the mail also, August, September & October. I like how August has a pair of flip flops & I like the scissors on September. Also the corn in October with the buttons on it is really cute. Lizzie Kate's Summer Boxer Jr. has a cute little pink fishie to stitch. I love, love, love the new snippet called Good Things. It says: Good things come to those who stitch. I also got Fall Crazy & the Fall Boxer Jr. kit.
Little House Needleworks
I really like the new chart by Little House Needleworks called Gourmet Garden . It reminds of a couple places where we've spent our honeymoon & an anniversary. Chateau Élan & The Biltmore House came to mind when I saw this chart. It has a big house with the fields where the spices are growing. It also spells out some names of spices such as Thyme, Rosemary, Garlic, etc. Another chart I just got in from them is called Necessities Sampler. I really must stitch this one. It's a pretty blue alphabet spelling out the words fabric, needle & thread with a place to put your initials & the year with a blue house & some blue flowers.
Other New Items
Diane Graebner Designs has come out with a new chart. It's the cutest little chickadee sitting on a branch of leaves & red berries.
Ok, I'll just tell you about 1 more chart & then I'll stop. Good heavens, I cannot list every new chart on here for you. We'd both be here for hours! But I just absolutely gotta tell you about this one. It's called Ice Cream Sundae. It's by Country Cottage Needleworks who I mentioned above in the 1st paragraph of this newsletter. It shows a banana split on the top & lists 8 kinds of ice cream. There's neapolitan, rocky road & strawberry to name a few. It has the old fashioned milkshake glasses on the bottom with some ice cream cones also. It's soooo cute! I feel a Dairy Queen drive-through trip coming on. I pass 2 of them going home.
Upcoming Stitch Nights
We
still have spots open for the July 28th & August 25th stitch nights. It will be
from 6:00 - midnight. Just bring whatever you want to stitch on or get
something new while you're here & start it. Refreshments will be provided. I
can only allow 11 ladies to attend as seating is limited in the store. So call
or email 800-598-4614/dogwoodpatch@gmail.com
to reserve your stitch spot. If
you need it there's a Holiday Inn Express right next door. 1-800-Holiday to
make reservations. Just tell them Big Sky Drive in Hiawassee, Georgia. The Inn
fills up a lot in the summer so if you think you want to book a room, speed is
of the essence.
