Hinzeit

I just recently saw the monthly designs @ www.hinzeit.com.  You know Hinzeit is well known for their charts with charms.  The Point Is collection is 3 sets of different charts.  1 chart set has January, February, March & April.  So they're actually 4 charts in 1.  Then the next chart set contains May, June, July & August.  So then guess what the next chart set is?  Yep, September - December.  I've ordered the frames for April & May.  So let me know if you'd like any of the chart sets & frames & I'll get them out to you.

The Point Is - Jan to April

The Point Is - May to August

Homespun Elegance

I just had to laugh when I opened a box & saw Homespun Elegance's chart Sampler Woolly.  It's a sheep with knitting needles & a basket of yarn.  The chart comes with the tiny wicker basket & the trim.  He's so cute standing there knitting.  Or is it a she?  I don't know.

They were cranking out the charts for this month, there's also Spring Eggs I.  There's a pink bunny in this one!  Woo-Hoo!  It's done in Crescent Colours beautiful, beautiful Carnation Belle Soie silk.

For all y'all Quaker lovers out there they also have a chart called A Quaker Year-Merry Winter.  It has a really cool stitch @ the bottom.  And also Lady Quaker Silhouette.  You know, that Quaker thing is quite catching, isn't it.  I've become a lover of it myself.

ByGone Stitches

Here's my progress on Quaker CHRISTmas by ByGone Stitches.  After this I'm going to start on ByGone Stitches-Quaker Virtues.  I'm already thinking about what colors I may use.  It suggests Crescent Colours Cotton in Old Blue Jeans.  That is a pretty color.

The Silver Lining

I have to mention The Silver Lining & their new chart African Violets #3.  It's just beautiful.  It's bright fuchsia blooms with the green leaves that look so fuzzy that you could almost just reach out & touch them.  They always have the most gorgeous flower charts that look so real.  They recently did some roses that just took my breath away.

Nashville Needlework Market!

I bought so much @ the Nashville Market I simply cannot mention it all.  Barbara & I had a blast.  The Embassy Suites was heavenly.  We unpacked the car Thursday night & didn't step outside the hotel again until we packed the car Sunday.  I could just live there!

More Charts On Our Website

The above designs are what was in my Hoffman Automatic that comes @ the 1st of the month.  I have sent most all of the new things by email to my husband to put on the website.  He's a bit overworked & tries his best to keep up.  So you can view most all the new market goodies up there.  Check back often.

Classes - Needlepoint, Hardanger, Brazilian Embroidery - No Beading

I know in the last newsletter I mentioned taking a beading class & was going to teach it this year.  Sorry.  I'm not going to be able to do that.  The beading was so very extremely hard.  You didn't use fabric.  You just held onto the thread & put beads on while "trying" to follow the pattern.  I could not do it.  Much too complicated for me.  And if I cannot do it, I cannot teach it.  Y'all probably wouldn't want to learn something so difficult anyway.

The other class was my 1st try @ needlepoint.  It just didn't do a thing for me.  It was a huge 18 count stiff canvas that you put on these pieces of wood with thumb tacks.  18 count is huge to me anyway.  I prefer to stitch on 40 count or 36 count.  I like the soft, small stuff.  But there will be a beginning needlepoint class in the near future for those of you that would like to work on 18 count canvas.  I have a model on the counter for y'all to look at.  You will learn 12 stitches.  The teacher is figuring out how long the class will take, whether to have it in 2 classes, the dates, etc.  So y'all just hang on tight until we get the date & time set.  I will announce it in the newsletter as well as put it on the website.  There will be a new beginning hardanger class as well.  I have the model for it on the counter if you want to look @ it also.  It's really pretty.

We're going to have a Brazilian Embroidery class.  The date is May 17.  It's on a Saturday, 1:00pm - 4:00pm.  Again, I have the class model on my counter for you to look at.  The class fee is $65.00 which includes your kit & a really, really good book of stitches.  The book is the main expense of the class.  I have a couple other models here in the store showing you what you can make using the book you'll get.  So let me know if you'd like to sign up for that.

Camp Iwannastitch

The Floridians got to experience a Georgia snow.  It started in the morning, but was gone by the afternoon; such as the Georgia snows go.  And we all got pictures to remember it by.  Here is one of ours.

I guess that's about it for this newsletter.  Not as much as the last couple (giving hubbie a break ;)
